Primary 5/4C spent time on Tuesday afternoon interviewing their reading buddies. They found out about their buddy’s favourite things to eat, favourite games and, most importantly, their favourite books!

NURSERY – ‘LOOK FOR A BOOK’
Our little ones have been participating in ‘Look for a Book’ in East Calder this week.
They chose to hide some books in the library!!! We thought this was a great idea, please look out for the free books hidden next time you visit the library.
You too can participate in this fun initiative by buying books from our Book Sale (bags with information also provided) and hiding anywhere in the community.

Anti Bullying Week
Primary 7S have been thinking about bullying this week and have been making an extra effort with friendships. We have also been making posters and the pupils in our class planned, designed then created a display to promote friendship within our school. Keep an eye on the blog for a picture of the finished product (we are currently waiting for the paint to dry).
Great effort this week P7! Have a lovely weekend.

Outdoor Learning in Primary 2
In Primary 2M and 2W we have been learning how to subtract. We have been using lots of different methods to help us do this. Yesterday we decided to take our subtraction outdoors and see how we could use the environment to help us show our learning. We had lots of fun using our number skills.
It was a chilly morning so we had to make sure we were wrapped up. We even managed to use natural materials and the weather to help us create our own subtraction sums!
