Primary 7S and P7/6L,

Due to the issues we have encountered today using our class pages we are going to change the way we share your learning tasks. From Tuesday 24th March we will be using a grid (similar to your normal homework grid) for your learning for the whole week. Please complete as many activities as you can throughout the week.  Do not worry if you cannot access files on Glow this is due to high levels of users therefore your learning grid will be available here on the blog and emailed out to you also. You had a jotter issued last week, feel free to do your work in your jotter instead if you wish. You can still reach your teacher on your class TEAM page.

Primary 7/6L World War 2 Visit

Yesterday P7/6L had a fantastic visit from Maureen Liddell from the Museums Service. The children participated in a handling session of many World War 2 Artifacts like army uniforms, food and clothing ration books and children’s toys and suitcases. We learnt a lot about life on the homefront during the war brought to life through the real stories of local people who owned the items.

Primary 7/6L Remembrance

As part of our learning about Remembrance Day and the Poppy Primary 7/6L will be working alongside the British Legion today to learn more about the poppy as a symbol for remembrance. We will be working in class to learn more about veterans from our local area before visiting East Calder Cemetery to lay poppies (weather dependent). Please remember we will be selling poppies in school all week this week to support the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
