Hi everyone,
Our children in Nursery have been very busy playing and learning – please find out more from our latest Nursery Newsletter.
On Thursday the 25th of May Primary 4A invited their families into school to share our learning from this term. The children planned an afternoon full of activities linking to our learning in class. Adults then had to complete a Kahoot! Quiz using lots of information from the 7 different stations.
Thank you to all parents and carers who joined us.
Yesterday we cleaned out our gerbilarium. Before we cleaned out their cage we needed to put them in their exercise balls. Pepper was very good and likes going in her exercise ball. Salt however didn’t want to get in her ball. Daniel and Leah had to use her favourite tube to put her into her ball. It took lots of teamwork. Once they were out of the cage team 2 cleaned it out.
It was really fun to clean out our gerbils. We need to do this every week. We work in teams of 4.
Primary 4A have been preparing for the arrival of our class gerbils.
We have been doing research in class and using our notes to create Power Points about caring for gerbils. We have been thinking about names for our 2 new gerbils and after creating a list of our favourites we used Microsoft forms to vote for our winning names.
Here are our responses:
The winning names were Salt and Pepper. We cannot wait to meet Salt and Pepper when they come to school on Tuesday after the long weekend.
Congratulations to the 25 Primary 7 pupils that have been selected to represent our school at the West Lothian ‘East Conference’ Sportshall Athletics Event. The event will take during the school day at Craigswood Sports Centre on the 16th of November.
More specific information, consent forms and EE2’s will be sent home soon.
As part of our fundraising efforts for Comic Relief, Primary 6B will be selling noses in school starting on Friday 11th March. Noses are £1.50 each.
We will also have a dress down pyjama day in school on Friday 18th March for Red Nose Day itself. We ask that children who come to school wearing their pyjamas bring a small donation towards our fundraising.
Good morning everyone. Hope you had a lovely weekend. Congratulations to all who participated in Sports Day last week and to those who shared some excellent Health Week activities. This week we are returning to our usual Home Learning Grid. If you need support with any of the activities this week, please ask your teacher on your class Team. Try to keep in touch on Teams and let us know how you are getting on.

That’s right The Great East Calder Run is back for a second year.
This is our final week of training before Sports Day next week! The focus of this grid is to develop our running speed and endurance this will help you complete the Great East Calder Run on Friday.
Have fun!
