It was lovely to see so many of our Primary 7 pupils today for their transition event. Here is a copy of your video message from all of the staff at ECPS to wish you luck moving on to High School to share with your families.

Science Fun!
Good morning everyone!
As this is our last week I had promised you in class that we would have a fun week of experiments. The biggest request was Elephant’s Toothpaste so I will make this at home this week and I will post the video on the blog and Teams after!
Are there any fun experiments you have wanted to do at home or in school? Now is your chance! Rubber egg? Bottle rocket? Giant square bubble? Exploding volcano? Egg parachute? Dancing Raisins?
There are lots of great ideas here to try too:

Share your experiments with me on Teams or email them into school.
Have fun (and stay safe!)

PE Home Learning – 22nd June
Good morning everyone,
For PE this week, we will be taking part in the Youth Sport Trust’s National Sports Week. There are five different categories of activities and challenges. You can pick what categories and what activities you take part in. I recommend doing at least one activity a day as well as getting outside for walks, jogs, cycles or scoots.
I love seeing your learning so don’t forget to let me know how you got on.
Mr. Millar
ECPS Digital Careers Fayre 2020
This week Primary 6 and 7 pupils will participate in our Digital Careers Fayre event as part of their home learning grid activities. Over the last few weeks our parents, families and friends have shared with us their wonderful responses to our Careers Fayre video request. A huge thank you to all who participated and shared information about their job, providing the pupils with a wonderful range of information from different career paths. Here is the link to our SWAY presentation:

Can You Escape From The International Space Station?
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be blasted into space? Did you manage to catch a glimpse of the Space X rocket heading to the International Space Station 2 weeks ago? Did you watch the launch live? It was very exciting!
Now imagine you are an astronaut on board the ISS. Your task is to make it to the on-board escape pod, but first you need the code to enter. Can you solve the 14 puzzles to crack the code?
Click this link to open the web-page with the puzzles. Scroll down and you will find 14 questions. Answer them all to complete your code for the escape pod.

Let me know if you manage to escape! Send an email to school or tag me on Teams!
Good luck astronauts!

The Great Science Share – Week 6
Well Waste warriors, how did you get on last week? Did you get creative with your household waste? Did you find out how far your breakfast travelled to get to your plate? I managed to find eggs that were laid less than 2 miles from my house so will be using that farm in the future!
This is our last week of the Great Science Share and it’s a theme I know many of you are passionate about. This week we are celebrating World Oceans Day!
Why is the sea salty?
Do whales from different parts of the world have their own accents?
How can we stop so much plastic getting into the oceans and protect the wildlife?
How deep is the deepest part of the ocean?
How do we use the power of the seas foe energy?
Remember and tag me in your Teams post or email your investigations into school!
Have fun investigating!
