We hope all our families had a lovely summer holiday. Mrs Grieve and Mr Fazakerley are so proud of the way our returning children came back into school today. So confident and happy to be back! We were also delighted to have our 2 new Primary 1 boys join us, who both had a fantastic first day!!

Primary 1 had a super last week and enjoyed spending time with their buddies. Everyone has worked hard and have shown they are ready to move into P2.

Our resident oyster catchers have nested again this year and have had 2 chicks! Our pupils have been learning how to be respectful and responsible around them and are enjoying watching them grow and develop at break times.
Thank you so much to Ian and Brett from the 3Sixty Bicycle Stunt Team for visiting us today. Our P1-7 pupils and staff loved the display and were amazed at some of the stunts!
Primary 1a enjoyed sharing their learning in our school assembly. It was all about Fairyland. They loved dressing up as a dragon,knights, kings , queens and fairytale characters. They read all their parts beautifully, included a fairytale quiz and performed a great action song at the end. Great work!
The children also had fun at a judo session on Wednesday. Look at our moves!
By the end of a busy week , we were all treated to an exciting BMX bike display. Our hearts were in our mouths watching some of their jaw-dropping stunts!
This morning Primary 1 enjoyed a picnic on the field to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
We made flags and crowns in class and took them out with us. After our picnic we played games, explored the woods and then played with the parachute!

Our lovely Education Officer is leaving to take up a new post. The boys and girls in The Hive always enjoyed his visits so we made him a card and he popped down to see us on Wednesday. Good luck in your new job Mr McDermott! We’ll miss you.
Welcome back Primary 1! It was lovely to see you back and hear all about your holidays.
We’ve had a busy start to Term 4. On Wednesday we all took part in a ‘Silent Disco’. It was great fun listening and dancing to the music.
Primary 1 had a great time in our new library with their Buddies. This week our job was to try and recognise tricky words in the books being read together.
On Friday we learned about Earth Day in our Assembly and then went outside for word hunt. We had to find pictures and then sound out and write the words. Everyone had fun and worked well as a team.
