Hopscotch Performance

We are looking forward to welcoming Hopscotch to our school on Monday 2nd September to perform their new show ‘SPRING-Y’ to our P1-7 pupils.

This adventurous tale will show how friendship and bouncing back from adversity can be supported in Scottish schools. ‘SPRING-Y’ will be an amazing way to support our schools resilience message.

‘SPRING-Y’ is a touching tale about friendship, bouncing back and bending with the wind! It follows the story of Ash and Holly who have been best friends for years but now Holly has to move away. How will the two cope without each other? Together they come up with a plan so that their friendship will last forever.

House Point Winners 2018-2019

House Point Winners 2018-2019

The house points for this school session have been counted and the overall winners are….. CALDERHALL. Well done!

If your child is in Calderhall House they will receive their ‘house treat’ on Thursday afternoon (27th June). The house treat this year is a DVD in the hall with a small snack provided for them. If your child would like they can bring in a small blanket/cushion or cuddly in with them on Thursday to take to the hall for the DVD.

It was very close so well done to all our pupils on receiving so many house points throughout the year for their effort, positive attitude and behaviour in school.

East Calder Primary Half Marathon Success

P1 – P7 pupils participated in a sponsored half marathon event and with the help from EiC events (the Edinburgh Marathon organisers) we achieved a whole school time of under 2 hours.

Well done to all our staff and pupils who took part and a big thank you to Mr Millar for organising the event.
