It’s our School Health Week which includes our Sports Day – today and tomorrow! The focus for this week is to promote healthy lifestyles and enjoyment. Linked to this message is a range of activities, explanations and information on how to submit scores.  The Health Week Pack has an activity log, Health and Wellbeing focused learning grid, links to active videos and simple recipe ideas. You can also participate in the daily PE challenges from the West Lothian Primary PE specialists on Twitter at @WLPENetwork.

Please share your learning on Teams or by emailing the school office with the subject of ‘FAO: Health Week – Mr Millar’.

Good afternoon everyone!

 

I hope you have all had a good week and have been enjoying the lovely weather. Thank you so much for all the home learning you have sent me again this week. I always enjoy having a look at all your hard work and effort. Here are a few examples of some more of your amazing learning.

You have been working hard to practise telling the time. It looks like you have been enjoying the nice weather too which is fantastic. Well done!

You have been looking after butterflies since they were  baby caterpillars and you released them this week. This is a lovely project Farah and I am sure you managed to learn so much. Well done!

Please keep sending your home learning by emailing the school office. I will be able to reply to you and you might see your hard work feature on the blog. Stay safe everyone and have a great weekend!

NURSERY- Fun and Learning at Home

Good afternoon Everyone, we hope you are all well J

Here are some suggested activities to give a try.

Skimming stones – Have you been a walk near water? Have you tried skimming stones?, It can be tricky but very fun to see how far you can get your stone or how many jumps it does. Top tip: find the flattest stone you can. L.I I am developing my fine and gross motor skills.

Sensory Play – Jelly Baff is a great sensory activity. Can you describe what you think it feels like?, is it soft/hard, Wet/dry, cold/warm?, Do you like the feeling? L.I In everyday activity and play, I explore and make choices to develop my learning and interests. I am encouraged to use and share my experiences. I am increasing my vocabulary.

Football BuzzLivingston FC have teamed up with Football Buzz and are offering a free, live football session on Monday the 1st June @ 4pm. I am enjoying daily opportunities to participate in different kinds of energetic play, both outdoors and indoors.

Canal and River Trust – Canal and River Trust have a new resources bundle as part of their digital learning programme – designed to keep children engaged in learning and active whilst at home. The ‘Corridor for Nature’ bundle provides everything children need to research, design and build a canal-themed habitat.
