NURSERY – LUNCH BAGS

We are now able to store items from your child’s lunch bag in a refrigerator until lunch.  If you have items in your child’s bag that needs refrigeration, please put them into a plastic bag with your child’s name on and hand it to the staff member at the door on entry.

Many thanks

NURSERY – MERRY CHRISTMAS & THANK YOU

Our School/Nursery Fayre was a huge success and a great turnout.  It was lovely to see so many of our children and families attending especially on such a wet and windy day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard working PSA committee, who have worked very hard to make the fayre a success.

A big thank you also to our generous families who donated towards the fayre, it was greatly appreciated and also for buying the children’s handmade goodies.  The money raised directly benefits all the children in the nursery and school.

We will reschedule a date in January for our parent group meeting to go ahead.  Unfortunately due to the time of year, parents were unable to attend our December meeting.  Hopefully in January we can meet to discuss future fundraising events for the Nursery.

Our Nursery Team would like to thank all our families for their kind cards, gifts and ongoing support  and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.

Nursery – creating, learning, exploring and having fun!

Our nursery children have been enjoying our larger block play space which is now in the main foyer. There is plenty of space to allow children to build and create using the large blocks and loose parts stored in this area.

Although our nursery is a busy place, there are plenty of spaces to have some quieter play or simply enjoy a book or storytelling session.

Festive Fun in the Nursery

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….

Our nursery children and staff have been busy making the nursery look very festive. The children have been making decorations for their Christmas tree in nursery and enjoyed helping to decorate the tree. Lots of different items have also been made to sell at the Christmas Fayre this Saturday. Well done everyone – great effort 🙂

NURSERY – SCHOOL FAIR

Reminder:    Christmas Fayre will be held this Saturday (14th December) 10am-1pm in the Dinner Hall of our School.

The Nursery children have had a little enterprise going over the past few weeks and have been working hard to make beautiful tree decorations and lot’s of other goodies to sell.

Please support the Nursery and School by coming along and enjoying a festive filled morning!

Home baking is required for our baking stall, please hand any donations to the school or nursery on Friday 13th.  Many thanks.

NURSERY – NEW WOOD WORK BENCH

In nursery we have started to introduce a new wood work bench and tools to the children. Some of the children have spoken about how we use the different tools and how we can stay safe when using them.  Next week the children will have the opportunity to practice hammering nails into the wood.

Wood work is a great activity for children to gain real first hand experiences and it also allows them to develop their hand eye coordination, risk management, problem solving skills and their fine motor control.

NURSERY PARENT INVOLVEMENT

We would like to thank all the parents and carers who came in during our Stay and Play sessions last week.  The children love to share with their families what they do at Nursery.

Also big thanks for your kind donations for the Christmas School Fayre, they are all very well appreciated.

As we continue  to develop our Nursery and Nursery grounds we are looking for idea’s from Parents and Carers.  Your suggestions are valued and appreciated.  Please add any idea’s to the Blue Sheet next the signing in sheets. Thank you.

We are also looking for words that describe what you value in Early Years to create a ‘Wordall’ (picture made up of words).  Please`share your words with Nursery Staff.

SCHOOL FAYRE

We have been busy preparing for the school fayre in Nursery.  The children have decorated baubles and pine cones and helped to slice oranges to hang on our tree’s.  We will be selling these handmade goodies at our Nursery stall.  Please support PSA fundraising for the school and nursery by coming along to our fayre on Saturday 14th December 10am-1pm.  Thank you for your support.
