Unfortunately, due to Scottish weather we had to move our P3-5 Sports Day off the grass and into school grounds/dining hall. Pupils completed activities such as an obstacle course, long jump and target throwing. The weather cleared up at the end of the day, which allowed P5 pupils to participate in sprints for their house. Well done to all that participated. I hope you had lots of fun!

Sports Day P6-7
Primary 6 and 7 took part in their sports day on Wednesday 12th June. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to set up our sports day in the quad and dining hall. Pupils took part in several stations including scoring goals, obstacle course and endurance run. At the end, all pupils participated in sprint races. Well done to everyone for working very hard – I hope you all had fun!
Sports Day P1-2
Happy Sports Day everyone!!
Unfortunately, due to Scottish weather we had to move our Sports Day off the grass and into school grounds/dining hall. The pupils were very resilient and loved working hard to achieve house points for their team. They visited 4 stations outside and 3 stations inside. They completed activities like bean bag target throw, javelin and an obstacle course! Well done to all that participated.

Cross Country P6
Congratulations P6 for a great day out at cross country today. All the staff who attended with you were so proud of the positivity and you all cheered your friends on. Everyone worked really hard on this tough race and I am very proud of each and every one of you. Well done to Paul who came 3rd place in the boys race and to Freya who scored within the top 10 for the girls race. Paul will have the opportunity to attend the championships when he is in P7 – great work!!
Sportshall Athletics 2023
Well done to our Primary 7s who took part in Sportshall Athletics last Wednesday. The pupils worked really hard as a team and showed outstanding behaviour in front of the other schools. Everyone enjoyed taking part in the activities and cheering on their fellow pupils. We have now received our score and I can confirm that East Calder Primary got 149 points and came 5th out of the 9 schools competing! Well done everyone.
