Nursery – creating, learning, exploring and having fun!

Our nursery children have been enjoying our larger block play space which is now in the main foyer. There is plenty of space to allow children to build and create using the large blocks and loose parts stored in this area.

Although our nursery is a busy place, there are plenty of spaces to have some quieter play or simply enjoy a book or storytelling session.

Festive Fun in the Nursery

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….

Our nursery children and staff have been busy making the nursery look very festive. The children have been making decorations for their Christmas tree in nursery and enjoyed helping to decorate the tree. Lots of different items have also been made to sell at the Christmas Fayre this Saturday. Well done everyone – great effort 🙂

Halloween Discos

Two of our P7 pupils made some posters at home to advertise our Halloween Discos. These are now displayed in our school.

We are looking forward to seeing many of our pupils tonight for the Halloween Discos. Thanks to our parents from our Parent Staff Council for organising this fundraising event for the pupils of East Calder Primary School.

Please remember that we ask that children do not wear masks or bring props/weapons with them to the discos.

Thank you 🙂

NURSERY – Parents Evening Appointments

Nursery Parents Evenings – Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th October

Parents Evening Appointments will be offered to all parent/carers of preschool children in our nursery. More information will be out shortly about how to book an appointment with your child’s key worker.

Many of our younger children (anti-preschool children) have just joined our nursery or will be joining over the next few weeks. We would like them to get time to settle in to the nursery environment and routines before we offer a Parents Evening appointment for them. Therefore, parents/carers of our anti-preschool children will be given an opportunity to discuss their child’s progress later on in the term. More information about this will be given in November.
