Showtime for P5 and P6!

After many weeks of rehearsal and preparation, Primary 5 and Primary 6 finally performed their Scottish Opera show, ‘Vikings! The Quest for the Dragon’s Treasure’ on Monday 17th June.

Everyone spent time in the morning with the  Scottish Opera coaches, who took pupils through their paces with stage directions and choreography. After lunch, pupils were very excited to see their costumes and really start getting into character.  Some of the other classes came to watch the dress rehearsal and then parents , carers and invited guests took their places for our final performance.

The audience was blown away by the performance and so impressed with the confidence shown by everyone involved. The Scottish Opera professionals were also so impressed by  the childrens’ commitment and said that it made their job so much easier when pupils were so well-rehearsed and enthusiastic.

Miss Niven, Mrs Campbell and Mrs Stewart are all incredibly proud of everyone who took part – it was definitely worth all the hard work and effort! Well done everyone!

Sports Day – P3-5

Unfortunately, due to Scottish weather we had to move our P3-5 Sports Day off the grass and into school grounds/dining hall. Pupils completed activities such as an obstacle course, long jump and target throwing. The weather cleared up at the end of the day, which allowed P5 pupils to participate in sprints for their house. Well done to all that participated. I hope you had lots of fun!

Tetrahedron building in P6

Thanks to Conor from Morrison Construction who came in and spent the morning with us building a huge Tetrahedron! Team work was certainly the order of the day and it was great to see the class collaborating and problem solving to get the job done! The quality of the communication and decision making as a team certainly helped towards our end goal. Well done P6.

Sports Day P1-2

Happy Sports Day everyone!!

Unfortunately, due to Scottish weather we had to move our Sports Day off the grass and into school grounds/dining hall. The pupils were very resilient and loved working hard to achieve house points for their team. They visited 4 stations outside and 3 stations inside. They completed activities like bean bag target throw, javelin and an obstacle course! Well done to all that participated.
