NURSERY – Fun and Learning at Home

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well

Here are some suggested activities to give a try.

Sticky kids – Keep active with some sticky kids, a fun favourite in nursery. L.I I am enjoying daily opportunities to participate in different kinds of energetic play, both outdoors and indoors and I am developing my gross motor skills.

here are some links to some songs:

Stand Up, Sit Down – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9aBYLRhFW8

Science – Grow your own rainbow to display in your window to brighten up people’s days when they are out walking. L.I I am exploring everyday materials and experiencing how they can change.

Follow these simple steps by clicking Here

Matching numbers or letters – you could try this indoors or outside with chalk on the ground or pens/pencils in the house. Draw out your child’s name or a number line and then make the corresponding letters/numbers on paper and cut out. Let your child match them up. L.I I can recognise letters in my name and/or numerals 0-10.

You could also try matching the numerals to the corresponding dots. L.I I can count using 1-1 correspondence.

Remember you can also have a look at West Lothian Early Years Blog  for more ideas by clicking here.

Hope you all have a good day
