NURSERY – LUNCH BAGS

We are now able to store items from your child’s lunch bag in a refrigerator until lunch.  If you have items in your child’s bag that needs refrigeration, please put them into a plastic bag with your child’s name on and hand it to the staff member at the door on entry.

Many thanks

These session will take place on Monday afternoons and will include all primary 4 pupils. We are having a short session in class this Thursday to get us started and are all looking forward to it!

Back from the Holidays – P5

This week we have been busy trying to get back into a routine in P5.

We are starting a few new topics this term. Our IDL topic is all about the rainforest and in P.E we will be taking part in gymnastics and health and fitness. We have also started using the literacy box to help with our reading comprehension.

Today, we all took part in the beep test to assess our level of stamina/fitness before starting the block of lessons that Miss Beattie has prepared for us. This means that when we do the beep test again at the end of our fitness block, we can see if we have made any improvements.

We have also been learning about how to give effective and constructive feedback to each other. We know that making mistakes and receiving feedback about our work is to help us get better at a skill and to improve our work.

P5 have been given the choice of 4 Scottish poems. They should pick 1 of these poems and learn it at home, ready to recite to their class on Wed/Thurs of next week. There will be 2 winners who will get to recite their poem at the Scots assembly on the 24th January. Remember – think about voice, tone, expression and actions! Good luck.
