P5J Judo

Primary 5J had a fantastic time at Judo today. There was a lot of laughter in the gym hall as we learnt how to do different Judo moves. We’re looking forward to our football fun tomorrow!

VISIT TO SCHOOL

Some Nursery children visited the school this morning.  They helped                      Mrs Rafferty with a job.  We met some of the Primary 1 teachers on the way and stopped for a chat.  The children were interested in the artwork on the walls and this generated lots of chat too.

P4M

P4M had a wonderful time sharing their learning with family. We focused on activities and strategies we had been working on in literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing.

Crowning of the Gala Queen

On Friday evening 2 of our groups of pupils performed for the newly crowned East Calder Gala Queen. Up first were our choir, who are becoming seasoned performers now, with their lovely upbeat summer song. Secondly our newly formed Primary 6 and 7 dance group took to the stage to dance. This was their first performance and they were fantastic!
Well done to all children who participated- it takes a lot of courage to perform to such a large audience.
