Primary 7 27/04/20

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well and managed to get out over the weekend either into your garden or for a safe walk.
We will start with Joe Wicks this morning.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybn_SO990go.

Today for maths we are going to be learning to work out distance travelled. In the folder, Before Break, there is a formula that you need to read over and understand before you can start. I will be here for any questions you have.

There are then some calculations to be done using the formula. Please use the same layout they have used in the examples.

L.I. to calculate distance using speed and time.

S.C. I can use the formula

After you have completed that, there are some 12 / 24 hr timetabling to work on.

Okay once you have done ALL the maths set for today there is a comprehension about the Sun. The weather has been so good that I thought it was relevant. Remember to answer in sentences with all the detail you can find.

I want you to create a workout that we could do in the morning. Read over the criteria and think about how you will start this. I expect this to take this afternoon and probably longer.

Today we are going to make sure we have all given our best this week. If you should have attempted spicy maths and didn’t, do it today please. You must ALWAYS challenge yourself. Remember, at the moment, we don’t have a strict timetable and if you want to complete maths later in the day that is okay.

Once you have completed a piece of work you should proof read and up level just like you would be asked to do in class. I still expect a 2nd level piece of work. If you have sent me work this week thank you but now have another look at it and see if you can improve what you have done.

Just for a change today we’re going to give Daily Rigour a go. This is the link. https://www.cdmasterworks.co.uk/the-daily-rigour/ . Scroll down to this week edition. Remember you will need to do working. If you have an issue getting on to the website let me know because I might be able to put a PDF into Class Materials or the Blog.

You may have seen Captain Tom Moore on the news in the past week or so. He has been walking to raise money for the NHS and has raised over 27 million! At almost 100 years old, he is an inspiration to many people and reminds us that we all can play our part in some small way.
