P6/7 have been playing basketball and learning new moves. As a warm up P6/7 have been practising dribbling and passing. We have been going into groups of two or three to learn how to dribble the ball. We have been playing games and everybody has improved. We have been working on our teamwork skills. In the last game the “man of the match” was the stage!

Maths, Maths, Maths
We did loads of fun maths. We were looking at the properties of a cuboid and how to draw fractions.
We also carried on planning our fantasy story.
It was Fairtrade fortnight.
1719!
The whole of the upper school have been practising their songs for the Scottish Opera “1719”. This week the children got to put on a show for their parents. It was amazing!
Oor Wullie and other delights
We have enjoyed creating our own Oor Wullie stories. We used tableaux in drama and took photographs of them. We got our ideas from magazines and cartoon strips. It was really fun.
We have been working on long division in maths and continuing with our mental maths and practising our tables with Big Maths Beat That etc.
Nearly Christmas!
We had fun selling all these stress balls and Christmas crackers at the fayre.
This week we did a lot of maths and we looked at Bob Ross, which we might do in the future.
Primary 6/7 have been doing a new thing with “Around the World” when we use it to practise our mental maths.
Busy,Busy, Busy!
We have been making stress-balls, Christmas Crackers and loop games for the Christmas Fayre. We had fun making all these things. We also made a game called pin the nose on Rudolph.
Primary 6/7 have been doing Judo. Boys doing together and then the girls. This picture shows an example of what we did. We had a great time at Judo. We had a great time as a class.
In PE this week we have been doing different ways of travelling. Also in PE we have been learning how to dribble and shoot.
Also this week we have been learning about apostrophes.

More decimals
Primary 6/7 have been enjoying maths because they have been subtracting decimals. A small group taught others how to multiply decimals. We have been moving the decimal point to help us and using rulers as a number line.
Spooky Week
P6/7 had fun at the Halloween disco. The teachers beat the children at the boat dance challenge.We have also had fun decorating the room for Halloween. We also had so much fun learning decimals in maths.
A good week
We have been enjoying our topic on World War 2. We were making a story on evacuation in World War 2 about a boy and a girl. P6/7s have also been “Toasting not Roasting”!
We have been learning to join up their letters. Some of us have been putting joined up writing into our story writing.
We have been doing PowerPoints about World War 2.
