We have been finding out about each other. We are all unique, but we are working together in team P3.
We have used our hands to help create our class charter.
Welcome to Primary 3
Welcome to Primary 3. We have been working hard getting to know everyone. We have lots of exciting things to learn this year.
Rooky Rockstars
We’ve been enjoying learning the new songs with Rooky Rockstars this week. Today we wrote about our experiences so far. We are recording our CD tomorrow and we are performing in our concert next Thursday.
P2/3 Wedding
P2/3 had a class ‘wedding’ last week – the day before the Royal wedding. We’ve been learning about weddings and enjoyed taking on different roles. We rearranged our classroom, and we recycled our castle walls from our castle topic and transformed our class. We used named lolly sticks drawn at random to allocate who would have each role, and then we all got dressed up in costumes.
After our ‘wedding’ we had a parade to share our learning with other classes in the infant department. We had a great time.

P2/3 Respect Assembly
This week Primary 2/3 led the school values assembly. Our value is RESPECT and we shared our ideas and a song with everyone.
P2/3 Judo Taster Session
Today P2/3 had the opportunity to try Judo. First we took off our shoes, then we put on a judo jacket. We then had a warm up game of tunnel tig. We had lots of activities including trying to roll a partner over and trying to stand up against our partners. There was loud music and it was very exciting. We all had a lot of fun.
Castle Banquet
On Wednesday, P2/3 and P3 joined together for a class banquet as part of the castle topic. We had a great time. Everybody wore crowns to the event – even the teachers!
P2/3 and P3 make bread rolls
On Thursday, Mrs Wood helped us to make bread. We used flour, sugar, salt, yeast and oil. We rolled them into balls and then we put them in a warm place to rise. Mrs Wood baked them in the oven for us, and in the afternoon we enjoyed eating them. Thank you Mrs Wood for helping us.
P2/3 and P3 visit Stirling Castle
Yesterday, children from P2/3 and P3 visited Stirling Castle. We had great fun looking around the Palace and the Chapel. The kitchens were dark and scary. We enjoyed the Great Hall, especially trying sitting on the thrones.
