P 6/5 Daily Plan 29th January 2021

Fun Friday!

Thank you all for posting such sensible and appropriate comments over the last couple of days. On Friday I will probably change things quite a lot in view of this and let you chat about pets etc. I also want to check the work you have been doing. I don’t necessarily need to see it all. Things that you are proud of. And this maths and the instructional writing “Recipe for a horrible person”. Please make sure you have completed both of these. I want to use these as a form of assessment, so please make sure they are done. Because of this I will not set any additional maths or language tasks for today. But you still have loads of stuff here to do! I think I might try to organise it so I can chat to you individually. As usual I think I have put up here far more work than you can get through. Please take control of your learning and be selective. Do what is most appropriate for yourself, and please do not stress about not getting it all done but please try to do the maths and writing activities I have asked for.

Reading: “Wonder”. Revision of summarising, questioning and predicting

Numeracy: LI To multiply decimals by 10, 100 and 1,000

Maths Challenge: https://www.cdmasterworks.co.uk/the-daily-rigour/

Health Live assembly

Health / Art:

Do https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/ activities

Poster competition

Create a poster promoting good on-line practice and internet and phone safety

Spelling: You know what to do!

IDL and Personal Topic:  Continue your research. Please make sure you have carefully read the “P65 Personal Project” document and follow the instructions, and remember that you must follow these instructions for the class topic as well.

Reading:. I don’t think many of you have done the follow up activity of Questioner from Literacy Circles. Please find a book that you like and silently read it. We will ask each other questions about the books we are reading. Again just use the sheet as support but write the work into your jotters.

If you have done everything else do Education City. Or “Think you know”

The other website I love is the BBC: check this out and show your parents / carers

Music / Language / Dance:. Make a video (easiest on Tik Tok) of a sea shanty. There is a craze for these at the moment. Theme: “Learning under lockdown” Bella has already made a great one, which I have up-loaded so you can check it out. Can you do better? I have also put below this some links that you might also find helpful.
