P3 Fishy Facts!

Watch this video of a rock pool feed at the National Marine Aquarium ( it’s quite long so you don’t need to watch it all!) take some notes and write down some interesting facts. Perhaps you could create a fact file for a stingray, starfish or any of the other creatures in the rock pool?

Rainbow Trail

Here is a lovely news story –

https://news.sky.com/story/children-stick-rainbow-drawings-in-their-windows-to-boost-morale-during-coronavirus-crisis-11961870

Children have been making rainbows and sticking them in their windows. They are doing ths to cheer people up as they out and about. It has also been known now as the Rainbow trail as many children are looking out for the rainbows if they are out for a walk.  I thought perhaps Deans Primary children might like to start this in our school area too!

rainbow

A rainbow has always been seen as a sign of Hope, and there are lots of stories about what might be at the end of the rainbow too – maybe you could write a story to go with your rainbow picture!

Primary 2 – Thursday 26th March

Good Morning Primary 2!

Did you manage to do Joe Wicks P.E. lesson this morning? Here is the link again in case you need it; https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

Spelling

Miss Borsbey has typed up some sentences but missed out the tricky words! Can you copy these sentences into your jotter and add in the correct words? Remember your tricky words are: day, away, always, today.

French

Let’s practise our numbers to 20 in French! I have posted the link below to the French number song that we all love in class! Can you go around your home and see how many different numbers to 20 you can find and then say them in French? Look in places like food labels, the TV screen, newspapers, books etc.

I hope you are all well and having a good day!

Miss Borsbey

Lucy is having a blue day!

This time last year we had a visit from the author Chris Duke, who wrote the story “Lucy’s Blue Day” .

It is about a little girl whose hair changes colour depending on her mood.

One day she wakens up and discovers her hair is blue and she doesn’t know why ….

Well our wee Lucy is feeling a bit blue now too  – especially as she has to stay at home all day! Perhaps you can write a story about how Lucy keeps busy or write her a letter to cheer her up and suggest what she can do ! Maybe you could post it on your class TEAMS page?

Follow Lucy’s adventures here each day!
