Primary 4 thoroughly enjoyed making fruit kebabs as a stimulus for instructional writing this week. We enjoyed them in the garden whilst reading our class novel in the sunshine.
Leading Reading – Library Launch! Books for Sale
During our library launch day there will be several opportunities to buy some books. All sales will be cash only.
Will be there throughout the day, they have put together a special range of books at £2.00 each or 3 for £5.00. There will also be a range of books and games for all ages at a range of costs and some novelties from £1.00
Our visiting authors will also have a range of their own books which can be signed and dedicated – see below for more details
All cash brought by the children should be in a sealed envelope with their name and where appropriate which books should be purchased.
Please be aware that Rachel McGaw will only be in school in the morning.

Names on Labels drive
A big thank you to everyone who has returned permission slips for our ‘Names on Labels’ drive. So far, Iona House have visited over half the classes in the school and labelled many items of clothing. We hope to have visited all classes before the end of next week.

Scottish Parliament and Theatre Visit
P5/6 and P5 had lots of fun exploring the Scottish Parliament Building this morning. We saw the debating chamber and some of the exhibits within the Parliament building. After eating lunch in the shade of some trees in the Gardens, outside the Parliament, we travelled to see Imaginate’s ‘9 to 5’ show – we had a great day out!
Primary 1 Planting Beans
Primary 1 planted seeds in class and then when they were big enough we put them in our school garden. We are going to look after them so that they grow really tall and hopefully we will have beans very soon. We had so much fun!
