Nursery Christmas party 2018

What a super time we had at our Christmas parties, lots of games, dancing and a special visitor !Individual pictures will be uploaded on to learner journals as soon as possible. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

Nursery Christmas Fayre update

We would like to thank everyone for buying their child’s Christmas craft at the fayre. Thank you also to all those who kindly donated very tasty home-baking. We managed to raise a whopping £205.30 for nursery funds to spend on your child.

Nursery Pantomime Trip

Well what a great time was had by all! Aladdin banished the wicked sorcerer, freed the genie of the lamb, saved the princess and lived happily ever after. The children booed and hissed at the baddies and cheered and laughed at the goodies . There was a little ” he’s behind you ” and a few ” oh no he didn’t ” thrown in for good measure.

Nursery, Big Bedtime Read

Just a reminder to parent and carers, on Wednesday we will be launching Big Bedtime Read . You are invited 15 minutes earlier to find out about this initiative. Morning at 10.45am Afternoon 2.45pm . PLEASE REMEMBER CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TO COME IN THEIR PYJAMAS IN WEDNESDAY.

Nursery singsong

Today Mr McConnell kindly joined us with his guitar for a sing song. The children chose a mixture of songs including a suggestion from Freya in the morning for Old MacDonald has a farm. We are all looking forward to next week. Huge thank you from everyone!

Theatre production for the early years department

Yesterday the nursery children were very lucky to have a special performance from a theatre company . The children were all thrilled with the singing, dancing, music and the story of the woodland, how the characters over came challenge, fears ,built self esteem and helped each other to succeed. At the end they were invited to explore the props with the cast.

Hallowe’en fun in nursery

What a spooky day we had. Dookin for apples, pin the skull on the skeleton, creepy feely tin ,rats in the sand and so much more. The children all looked great in their costumes ! Thanks to all parents and careers who managed to pop back early and join in our spooky fun.
