P3 and P4/3 were busy this afternoon designing their own Roman shields. They worked collaboratively to create designs which were similar to Roman shields containing arrows, wings and symmetrical shapes.

P4’s bird’s eye view snowmen
In the run up to Christmas we have been doing lots of Christmas themed rt activities. One of the activities was using shapes and texture to create birds-eye view snowmen. We used concentric circles and smudged pastel to make it look like we were looking at the snowmen from above. The end result was really effective!

Nativity Update
This week in primary 1 we have been practicing our nativity and it is going really well! We can’t wait to try on our costumes next week and we are looking forward to you all coming to see it on the 19th! We spent yesterday afternoon making the backdrop. P1a made the stars and p1b made the ‘Hey Ewe!’ words. Take a look!
Road Safety Week
As part of Road Safety Week, the Junior Road Safety Officers ran a competition for each class in the school. The tasks were differentiated throughout the school and all pupils were asked to participate. The quality of the work was outstanding and the JRSO’s found it difficult to judge.
