P4 Egyptian Homework Challenge

A massive well done to P4 pupils for their amazing creations for the Egyptian homework challenge.  The challenge was to design and make something to do with the Egyptians.  The were encouraged to be as creative as possible.  We had everything from fact files to newspaper reports to masks to models … even some super Egyptian jewellery that Miss Armstrong modeled for us!

I was blown away by the obvious effort and the extremely high standard of the children’s creations!  Mrs Duncan and Miss Armstrong were very impressed too!

A HUGE thank you to all Parents and Carers for supporting your child with this activity.

A reminder that we have a class assembly on Friday 27th October at 11.45am.  We hope to see you all there to share our learning across term 1!

We hope you enjoy having a wee look at the amazing creations.

Well done everyone!  I am so very proud of every one of you 🙂

P7 Two Stars and a Wish

1st Star: We really enjoyed the Money Sense workshop and using our numeracy skills to plan a party. We are developing our skills for life and enjoying the opportunity to speak to professionals.

2nd Star: We were inspired by the art of Henri Matisse and had a go doing it for ourselves!

Wish: We can’t wait to see what our class composter looks like when we come back after the holidays.

Pie, Peas (or Beans!) and Bingo Night

A very big thank you to the folks who organised the Bingo Night last night.  A fabulous £648.38 was raised.  It was a great night – thanks so much to all those who attended and contributed to this fantastic amount of money.  Harry Cartmill, one of our local councillors, made his debut as our Bingo Caller – well done and thanks Harry !

2 stars and 1 wish

1st Star – We have had fun learning about solids, liquids and gas. We even made crispy cakes during science!!

2nd Star – We enjoyed creating our party timetable using the 24 hour clock.

Wish – For everyone to do their homework.

P7 Two Stars and a Wish

1st Star: We really enjoyed our Dragon’s Den task on Thursday. We presented all our hard work from our Restaurant topic and worked together as a team!

2nd Star: We had another opportunity to work with Mrs MacGregor from Bathgate Academy. We were working on our multiplication skills.

Wish: We are looking forward to making a composter in Science.

P2B 2 Stars and a Wish

1st Star:  We loved getting a letter from a pirate asking us to join his crew.  We were very excited about our pirate names and hats that we created.

2nd Star: We enjoyed using our imaginations to plan our own story.  We thought about when it happened, who our character was, where the story was set and what happened.

Wish: We would like to find out about how pirates use a treasure map.
