Healthy with Howard: Session1

We are very aware that remote learning has left our learners really missing out on the social aspect of school. We have been thinking how we could offer safe, fun activities where our learners could socialise. In response to this, we are delighted to share with you our first ever virtual “Healthy with Howard” session.

Mrs Howard will be live via skype on Wednesday 10th at 11:30am for a skip-a- long. You just need to open the PDF and click on Mrs Howard in the picture and you will be taken to the call.

Healthy with Howard Wk1

You will need:
a skipping rope
a safe space and permission to skip indoors
a pencil and paper

We hope you can join in the fun alongside your classmates. We would love to see this from the “other side” of our laptops so please ask an adult to take photos of you taking part in these activities and share them with us on twitter @BoghallPsch or by email to clare.thacker@westlothian.org.uk

Fun Friday Family Maths Challenge

2020 was the year everyone displayed rainbows as a sign of better things to come after the difficult times.

Your task is to create a unique handprint filled with some of your Mathematical knowledge. We can then hopefully collate them all into a Boghall rainbow of our own when we all return to school.

Please follow the link below for full instructions.

Outdoor Classroom Day – Thursday 21st May

On 21 May, which should have been the next Outdoor Classroom Day, we’re inviting you to celebrate your connection to the natural world by taking part in a variety of activities at home.  Connecting to nature can restore our sense of wellbeing. For children, this connection is best made through play – whether outdoors in nature or indoors with natural elements.  Please follow the link below for a range of ideas!

https://outdoorclassroomday.org.uk/resources/

If it’s possible or you have the space, children could spend time playing outdoors on the day.  Whatever you do, share it on social media on 21 May using #PlayfulNature tagging @BoghallPsch
