Braehead Primary School would like to thank Mr Ferguson and the Parent team who painted the outdoor equipment during the Summer holidays. The impact was instant and the children are delighted!
We are excited to start painting the playground once we have raised funds for the specialist paint that we require.

Pop Up Shops for Pupils- Fiver Challenge
At Braehead Primary School we are committed to promoting skills for life and work and the national initiative of developing Scotland’s Young Workforce. In partnership with Young Enterprise Scotland we are participating in the Fiver Challenge.
A selection of pupils from Primary 5 are taking part in The Fiver Challenge, supported by Virgin Money. They are tasked with making a profit from £5.00 by providing a product or service. They will be hosting Pop Up shops at lunchtime over the week beginning the 20th of June 2016.
Each day there will be a different Pop Up shop which will be open from 12.40 pm to 1.00pm to the pupils in the School.

Primary 7 Fun Day – Monday 13th June 2016
Primary 7s are holding a Fun Day for the whole school on Monday 13th June in order to raise funds for our end of term party.
Stalls will include Smoothies, Beat the Goalie, Bouncy castle*, Bric- a-brac, Table tennis, Photo booth, Lucky bags, Chocolate Fountain, Nail bar and Glitter Tattoos, Tombola, Roll the 2p, Guess the sweets in the jar, Wii stations and many, many more!
Each stage will have an allocated time slot when they are able to visit the Fun Day with their teachers and prices for the activities range from 10p to £1. All activities will be supervised.
We are hoping for a great day and to raise lots of money! Thank you for your support.

Waste Week
From the 6th – 10th June the whole school will be participating in a Waste Week campaign. Children will be involved in an assembly, poster competition, Trash Fashion Show, One Planet Picnic, Community Litter Pick and activities to highlight the need to reduce, reuse and recycle, with a specific focus on food and packaging waste.
Friday the 10th June the whole school will participate in a SWAP SHOP – Children can bring in a book, comic or magazine they would like to SWAP with their friend. Please remember once your child has swapped an item, it will not be returned to them.
One Planet Picnic – (Weather Permitting) – The school will be having a One Planet Picnic on Friday 10th June in the school grounds. You are welcome to come along and join your child to each lunch during lunchtime with them. Please ensure you bring package free picnic and ensure no food waste during the picnic. You can bring picnic rugs or chairs to sit outside with your child from 12.15 – 1.15 on Friday 10th June 2016.
Community Litter Pick – During the week we will be participating in a Class Community Litter Pick. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to accompany the class during their litter pick. Please look out for the note from your child’s class with dates and time.
