Credit Union Christmas Card Competition

Congratulations to both Brooke and Lara. Brooke won the recent Credit Union Christmas Card Competition and Lara was runner up. The competition was held throughout a number of schools in the Stirling area. The winning design will be used as the Credit Union’s Christmas ecard for 2018. Both girls have won tickets for the Sleepin’ Cutie pantomine at the MacRobert with vouchers for ice cream! We hope you all have a fantastic time girls. Well done! #stirlingcreditunion https://twitter.com/StirlingCUltd

Reminder

Just as a quick reminder from the recent class newsletter – the Primary 4/5 class excursion to The Heritage Centre, Bannockburn on the 4th December as previously noted on the school calendar has been changed. The children will not be visiting the Heritage Centre as they opted for an exciting visit from  ‘Clanranald’ instead which they enjoyed immensely.

Thank you

Scottish Poppy Appeal

Pupils have been visiting classes over the last few days to sell poppies. They will continue to visit classes this week and into next week. There is no set price for a poppy and the pupils are very appreciative of any and all donations for one. The Primary 6 and Primary 5/6 classes will lead a school assembly where we will mark Remembrance Day as a school. I am afraid we are unable to invite parents/carers to attend this although I am sure the pupils will share the information with you at home. Thank you for your continued support.

House Badges

There’s a buzz in the air today! Our new house badges have been given out to all pupils and staff in the school. It is hoped these will become part of our school uniform and worn with pride everyday. Thank you to the PTA for your generous donation towards this. Our first house meeting went well. The children were all allocated a House Buddy from a different year group. Buddy Reading was our focus last week and the children all gave positive feedback!
