The English Grime and hip hop artist Stormzy had an outburst for the Grenfell victims during his Brit awards performance earlier this year. Theresa May received a furious attack from Stormzy about not allowing the citizens from the Grenfell to be represented on the panel to investigate what actually happened. Many families were left homeless and with Christmas approaching  the survivors and evacuees were promised money to help with Christmas. 18 families did not receive this money.

Downing Street insisted that the Prime Minister is ‘absolutely committed’ to support the families affected by this horrific event, which killed 71 people and caused public outrage and fear.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said, ‘The Prime Minister has been very clear that Grenfell was an unimaginable tragedy that should never have happened and must never happen again. She’s determined that the public inquiry will discover not just went wrong but why the voices of the people of Grenfell were ignored.’

At Glastonbury festival, Stormzy also spoke out about the government being ‘held accountable’ for the tragedy that took place on June 14th 2017.  Stormzy won best album of the year and best male solo artist at the spine-tingling Brit awards evening. He started a petition for Grenfell victims and at the end of the evening he tweeted ‘Job done’ for he had over 100,000 signatures.

‘Yo Theresa May where’s that money for Grenfell
What you thought we just forgot about Grenfell
You criminals and you got the cheek to call us savages
You should do some jail time, you should pay some damages
We should burn your house down and see if you can manage this
