In a recent interview Tessa Thompson, part of the cast of the Marvel movie Thor:Ragnarok, has said that Marvel’s creators are seriously considering an all female superhero movie.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is now into phase four, which has been much more focused on female heroes, such as Black Widow, Scarlet witch, Captain Marvel, Wasp, Valkyrie, Mantis and other strong female leads. Thompson told ETOnline that, “The future of Marvel seems to be very female”. This is causing quite a stir on the topic of Marvel’s diverse and influential future.
Some of the movies that have been written for phase four and are getting created are Spider-man:Homecoming 2, Black Widow, Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 and other undisclosed movies. These movies are also going to help to create the plot and characters for the all female superhero movie to come.
I’m sure that, on behalf of everyone, we are all excited and cannot wait to find out who will be in the movie that is in the process of being made. I’m personally very excited that Marvel is embracing diversity in their movies and using their position of power for good.
