This year, in the lead up to Christmas, the school will be taking part in the Blythswood Care Shoe Box Appeal, to help thousands of those in need in Africa, Asia and Europe. The Shoe Box Appeal, which has been running for 51 years, helps the less fortunate of all ages, and tries to supply them with many things which our societies often take for granted.
Our school is looking for donations from any pupil who is willing to help this cause. The donations we are looking for include:
-Toiletries (toothbrushes, deodorant, soap etc.)
-Stationary (pencils, notebooks, rulers etc.)
-Clothes (t-shirts, scarves, hats etc.)
-Miscellaneous Items (make-up, sewing equipment, household candles)
-Small toys (cars, dolls, tennis balls)
-Sweets (not chocolate)
– Essentially, shoeboxes!
We will be looking for donations which will be fitting for all ages -from an elderly women to a young boy.
Please keep an eye out for when and where you can contribute to the cause and the help could make a huge difference to those in need.
