The Scottish Youth Parliament represents all youth across Scotland. The vision for the Scottish Youth Parliament is to respect and value the views of tomorrow’s politicians and the youth of today. The goal for the Scottish youth Parliament is to make sure every young person in Scotland grows up to be the best they can be. For the next two years the Scottish Youth Parliament will be focusing on young people’s rights. They believe that especially Article 12 is important: that young people have the right to express their views freely and have their opinions listened to in all matters affecting them.

Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament are democratically elected by fellow peers, for the next two years they will be the voice of the youth for their constituencies. The two MSYPs for the East Kilbride constituency are Faith Sindick and Chloe Carmichael. For the next two years they will be taking on board any problems concerning East Kilbride youth.
