Recent developments have taken place on this bizarre and peculiar story.
Joshua Witt, a white Colorado-native, took to his social media platforms just weeks ago posting photos and broadcasting just how upset and shaken up he was after what appeared to be a violent physical attack. Witt proclaimed he was a victim to being stabbed by an anti-fascist black man over his supposed “Nazi” haircut.
Well, turns out it was all just a little white lie.
After a brief interview, the local police service concluded that the 26 year old had produced a wholly-fabricated story. Here’s how it happened.
Sheridan police chief, Mark Campbell, said the first red flag popped up when he realised that “no one else called this in,” and there had been no passers by even hearing him scream or witness any type of “altercation”.
According to investigation by the Colorado police department, there was no confrontation about his hair cut. There was no “anti-fascist” present to carry out the attack. In fact, there wasn’t even anybody near to stab him at all.
So, it turns out his story was actually a complete fabrication.
This obviously brings the question to mind: how did this man end up bleeding and bandaged, in his own car?
The truth is, he did it to himself. Solely so he could fabricate blame to a member of an ethnic group – at the expense of actually harming himself, and his reputation, in the process.
When professional behaviourists and research experts of self mutilation were quizzed about why this man would commit such an absurd act, they were astounded and struggled to come up with answers themselves – even with years of training and experience.
However, law enforcement did release that Witt would be facing a fine of up to $3,000 and a possible year in jail. The sheriffs also released a statement, noting the following conclusion:
“Witt didn’t even feel any remorse for his intentionally bigoted actions.”
It is also not the first time a racially-motivated incident like this has occurred. Recently, in Georgia, a Caucasian female police officer claimed than an African American woman had shot at her. After a swift investigation, this accusation was also deemed entirely false.
Although these appear to be racist, petty crimes, the US crime problem goes much further than that.
The notion must be raised that on the occasion of these incidents, what if police officers had spotted a very real “suspect” who fit the completely made-up descriptions of these offenders? Innocent lives would be at risk for the sake of a person’s disregard for truth. Police officers placed in a moral vacuum; making an accidental killing because a someone decided to impale himself and tarnish another race with the blame.
This is why racially motivated crimes like this are such a crucial problem in America. It shows the growing and unacceptable extent of underhand racism and feeds the cloak-and-dagger discrimination that has absolutely no place in our society today.
