Beware: your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could, in fact, be a ticking time bomb.

Samsung has recalled 2.5 million phones last week after it was reported that the phones have been exploding whilst being charged or shortly after they had been charged. Samsung says it has confirmed 35 cases.

Many airlines have warned passengers who have the phone not to charge or switch on the phone whilst on board.

A statement by Samsung, the world’s biggest mobile phone maker, claimed “our customers’ safety is an absolute priority “.

A YouTuber uploaded a video on the 29th of August of a Galaxy Note 7 that had exploded, it had burnt rubber casing and a damaged screen. They said it caught fire shortly after they unplugged it , less than a fortnight after purchasing it.

There have been cases of customers being hurt when their phone has exploded

It is reported a Swiss teenager has suffered second and third degree burns to their thigh. Their phone apparently  exploded in their pocket. They claimed  that they have been left with no feeling in their right thigh and they will be launching a criminal complaint against Samsung.

So make  sure you are careful the next time you use your phone and use the phone’s official charger.
