After our success in winning last year, St Andrews and St Brides are competing again in the Micro-Tyco Charity challenge. The challenge persuades our S1 pupils to become entrepreneurs and compete against other teams to earn the most money from activities and ideas of their own for the entire month of November.

All of the earnings go to the Wild Hearts Charity Foundation. The total from all groups will combine for a final amount. Other schools  compete and the winner will be the school with the largest profit.

This gives an opportunity for young children to show enthusiasm and pride and to be more involved in their school. It is a fun way to show your creativity, responsibility and the most important, teamwork. It is a lot to tackle with only 30 days and one donated pound to start with. This activity is great for problem solving and social skills. It doesn’t just take place during school hours it also can be continued out of school.

This month will see raffles, dance-offs, baking, milking cows, newspaper selling and business ideas on a scale never before known to St Andrew’s and St Bride’s.

Updates throughout the month.
