Black Mount Primary School is a co-educational, non-denominational establishment and education is provided for female and male pupils.

Black Mount Primary School does not provide teaching by means of the Gaelic language (as spoken in Scotland).

Schools Modernisation
As part of South Lanarkshire Council’s investment in improving school buildings, a new primary school, was opened in August 2019.
