Community at Black Mount PS

At Black Mount Primary School, Community is much more than a value on a page. It is at the heart of who we are and how we work together every day. We believe that children flourish when they feel a strong sense of belonging, knowing that they are cared for, supported and valued as part of something bigger than themselves.

Our school is a place where positive relationships matter. We take pride in the warm, welcoming atmosphere that exists throughout Black Mount, where children, families, staff and partners work together to support one another and celebrate successes together. From learning in the classroom and taking part in school events, to working with local organisations and supporting charitable causes, our children are encouraged to play an active role in their community and to recognise the difference they can make. By nurturing this strong sense of connection and belonging, we help our children develop kindness, empathy, confidence and a lifelong understanding of the importance of looking out for one another.
