Abby’s 5sc

Wind is bad weather.

Wind and snow makes a blizzard.

Thunder and lightning is not good.

Hail is icy rain.

High winds and rain it would make damage.

Mia’s 100 Word Challenge

There was a tiny green zebra. He was very talented because he could play the piano and he could talk. He was learning loads of new words every day. His favourite words were sorry and exploded. He used them a lot. He normally used both the words at the same time. He was good with words. He was very good at most musical instruments except the triangle because it’s hard. His favourite instrument was the piano. He played it loads. But one day he played it a bit too much he broke all his fingers. Then he moved to Tinytown and was never seen again.

Mia’s 100 Word Challenge

I went out to dinner with my friends, Jack, Sarah and Tom.  We went to T.G.I Fridays we were just sitting down to dinner when there was a huge explosion.  I was unconscious for a while, and when I woke up Tom, Sarah and Jack were sitting beside me, they were frightened.  It turned out the explosion was a bomb.  The firemen and ambulance crew came in.  The firemen put out the fire and we were all taken outside, it was then that we realised that the Queen had been eating their too and she was the target.  Luckily there was only minor injuries and everyone was OK.

In the morning when mum went to wake the girls up they were already up and had made pancakes for breakfast how lovely Mum exclaimed so they sat down for breakfast dad sneezed “guzinti” laughed Lilly, Selena and Mum.

Charlotte’s 100 Word Challenge

We were just sitting down to dinner when a bomb hit the road, we ran down to the cellar and hid under an old wooden table. “Well that’s one way of having a good dinner, who is bombing us now?” asked mum in a fed up voice. I can’t believe someone would like to bomb us, we haven’t done anything wrong. “Well to tell you the truth we know quite a lot of other people in the whole world that hate us!” I whispered with a shaking voice. Don’t worry they will stop soon I hope” Mum told me. But the bombing didn’t stop! I heard a bang!

I hope you enjoy!

Safe Shetland

Here in Shetland it is very quiet. It is safe, there are not very much traffic, there are not very much crime. You can trust nearly everyone.  Everyone it really friendly. When you are walking past people then they say hi to you. We don’t have very many police stations. Here the people are very kind, helpful and if someone is lost they would help them.

See I just moved here so I don’t know a lot about Shetland but I can tell you what is different. OK I will. Now it very quiet in Shetland and also it is very friendly up here. I have not met any one who is mean up here. Do you have anay one who is mean in people your country?  I think it is safe here because when I was in England I was scared if somebody was going to rob me but I don’t think that now.

Shetland Weather

It is very windy here we get calm very occasionally. We sometimes get gales and we get power cuts occasionally also when we have gales  our planes can’t fly and our ferries can’t go so if  you go to Tescos or the Co op they aren’t much food on the shelves.  Our hottest temperatures are between 19 °C and 17° C. Its so cold in winter some of us wear 3 or 4 pairs of socks. In  the  middle of winter its dark all day but in the summer  its light all day, it is very hard  to sleep in the middle of the summer because  its light all the time. I’m guessing  its different to your homes?

Shetland Animals

We have lots of great animals Shetland ponies, sheep, cows, rabbits and birds.  Wherever you look you will see animals. People enter animals into the Yell Show, The Yell Show is a livestock show where people enter their animals and win prizes. Shetland ponies are special because they have big thick hair coats,  Shetland ponies are quite strong because they used to be working ponies in Shetland.  Shetland sheep are smaller than most of the sheep, When it is windy sheep stay warm like ponies with their woollen coats We are quite famous because the sheep wool off the sheep are made into Fair Isle jumpers and carpet. We have Shetland cows and so we get fresh milk from the islands around Yell, Shetland Cows survive in Shetland but in the most wild winds people put them in barns to keep them lovely and warm.
