Through the #YouthVIP partnership project, we have refreshed the Youth Volunteering in Schools resource that encourages schools to create a culture of volunteering for young people, recognition of its worth and opportunities. We have published four case studies of fantastic partnerships here: https://www.youthvip.scot/ (scroll down).
Volunteering can be a key opportunity for young people to engage with social justice, the environment and other causes they care about and build their agency – a fundamental aspect of their entitlement to Learning for Sustainability.
YouthLink Scotland will be running regional training and networking sessions online over the coming months to share more about the resource, and most importantly to create space for colleagues to share practice and connect with each other. You can sign up for them here (and it’s fine to attend a different one to your region if that’s when you’re available).
