This week we learned the sound ‘oi’ and wrote many words containing that sound, including ‘koi’, which children told us is a fish they have eaten! We made a ‘foil coil’, a snake with colourful patterns on it. We are practising linking addition and subtraction facts to 10, and used cubes and counters on ten frames to check our subtractions. We are using a big book to capture our learning from ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’, and have described what the tricky words mean.
