Rights Respecting Schools

In December 2021 we received the news that we had been awarded our second Rights Respecting Schools Gold Award. This is the highest accolade you can receive in the Rights Respecting Schools journey and is a huge honour to receive. We are so proud to have maintained our gold status and embedded children’s rights in our school ethos.

Our work with Haiti and Supporting Ukraine has continued to add a global dimension to our RRS work and has helped promote children’s rights across the world.

We have also embedded our knowledge of the ‘ABCDE’ of rights and look forward to making this a focus at our assemblies again this session.

We have three simple rules in our school – Ready, Respectful and Safe.  Our ‘Cool Kid’ poem from Owen Kerr Signs is displayed in our foyer and helps us remember what is important to us at Troon Primary.
