The digital leaders from primary 7 came into our class to teach us about sumdog. They helped us find the app on our IPAD and they showed us how to log in.
Sumdog is a fun app that helps us develop our maths skills.
In our homework folders next week you will find our log in details so that we can log in at home and play some fun maths games.
Primary 2/3 have been showing off what they have learned in gymnastics. They can perform their skills using apparatus. This has been challenging. They performed rolls, balances, jumps and poses.
Primary 6 have been working on using their gymnastics skills in a routine. Today they worked in groups of their own choice. The routines had to include rolls, inversions, round offs, cartwheels, balances and dance.
Today as we were reading our class novel, Kensuke’s Kingdom, we recognised that Kensuke and Michael had difficulties communicating. We learned some sign language today and used this to communicate a message to each other.
Aiden: “I found it hard because you can get mixed up with some of the letters”.
Conlan: “I found it quite easy to make the signs with my hand”.
Blayre: “I was able to understand Keelan’s message”.
Gabriella: “It’s really hard to understand your partner”.
Helen: “I found it hard to understand my partner”.
Emilia: “I liked when we were challenging our partners.”
Thank you to everyone who came to the second Bedtime Book Buddies group…. you were very brave to brace the weather! We listened to a lovely story called Eric Makes A Splash and we drew a new animal friend for Eric. We shared some great stories and giggled at Pirates Love Underpants. We will have our next meeting on Thursday 15th November.
This afternoon whilst their parents were discussing the Sacraments, children from P2/3, P3/4 and P4/5 helped to create some beautiful artwork that will be displayed in the Church.
