Primary 3/4 recently visited The Secret Collection @ Paisley Museum. We had so much fun exploring the stores, learning about lots of different things and seeing lots of exciting artefacts. Then we had a very important job to do, we had to help the Museum label artefacts that had got mixed up when they were moved.
My favourite part was…
Sara: “I like everything.”
Leon: “The part we saw the big painting.”
Dominik: “The shark.”
Alan: “When we go and seen the car.”
I learned about …
Szymon: “We learned the museum is very old and the old old bikes and old cars.”
Yesterday Primary 3/4 had a visit from Kirsty Grant from TVC.
She worked with children on the topic of Conservation. The children had the opportunity to share their knowledge of animals and animals needs. Then the children made tasty bird feeders. We covered a pinecone in lard, seeds and sultanas. This will give the local birds plenty of energy. The bird feeders were then tied to trees in our playground. Finally, we did some bird watching and made notes on the kinds of birds found around our school.
We all had so much fun and are excited to continue bird watching at our school! Thank you Kirsty for visiting our class! 🙂
Primary 2 have been working hard in gymnastics this term. They had the chance to work on their skills during a fun obstacle course. They did lots of jumping, rolling, balancing and posing. Jumping was our favourite.
The boys and girls are very good at setting up the gym hall. They always listen carefully to instructions to make sure they are safe in the gym hall.
Today Primary 6 were learning some new Spanish vocabulary. They were learning how to say animal names in Spanish. They played a game of dominoes to test their vocabulary..
Primary 3/4 worked in pairs to create a Roman Catapult. After everyone had made their catapult we launched them in the gym hall! We all had lots of fun creating and using our Catapults. Take a look at our See-Saw for videos of our Catapults!
What were you learning?
Louise: “How to make things.”
Dominik “We were learning about Roman defence and attack strategies.”
Chelsea: “Measure when we were launching them.”
What skills did you use?
Leon: ” We were using our skills to measure and work together.”
Leon: “We were checking how far they went and using our measure skills”
We were learning about St Andrew today. We learned that he was the patron saint of Scotland. We coloured some beautiful stain glass window pictures of Saint Andrew.
Today we had our first guitar lesson. We learned about the different parts of the guitar and how to play the little g and little c chord. We had a great first lesson and can’t wait until next week.
We had a lovely day celebrating the feast of St. Fergus today. We attended mass at the church with Fr John where we shared all the things we enjoy about our education in St. Fergus’ Primary.
This afternoon we had a celebration in the gym hall. We had sweets and juice and watched a lovely Christmas movie.
Today was our first guitar lesson with our new instructor Phil.
I enjoy singing and playing along to music of different styles and cultures. EXA 0-16a
We learned about the parts of the guitar. We also learned two chords: C and G. We are waiting for the delivery of our cases so that we can begin bringing these home to practice.

Yusuf- “we learned new notes today.”
Maks- “our chords we focused on were little g and little c.”
