Learning at Home – front page

‘Learning at Home’ is the learning which happens in the home, outdoors or in the community. It can take place through everyday activities that families already do.

Learning at Home is a really valuable way of supporting children’s learning progress.

Establishing Routines

It’s good for children and young people to have a routine as they are learning at home. This is what they would usually have at school and there are many benefits:

  • Routine will support the seamless transition of children back to school
  • Routines help children to feel safe and secure
  • Routines support positive behaviour
  • Routines support parents to continue to work from home/ complete house work etc
