Health and Well-being Week!
It isn’t long to go now until the end of term.Β This week is going to be slightly different. Instead of our normal learning activities, this week your Home Learning is going to be focusing on Health and Well being each day.
We have created some fun, healthy activities for you to try out at home each day – just try your best and do what you canππ½ .Β
Remember: your brain π§ works better when your body and mind are healthy!
Today we are going going to be learning about eating a balanced, healthy diet

Click on the picture below and visit this great website to find out more about what humans need to do to stay healthy – there is a fun quiz too!Β
Main Activity:
When Miss Murray and I were in school on Friday we were so excited and harvested our class potatoes π₯ – we really REALLY wished you had all been there with us! Look how many potatoes we grew…..they look delicious! Potatoes are vegetables.
What do you think the potatoes could be used for?
Look at the sheet below, can you name a food for each letter of the alphabet? You can write them down in your jotter or just discuss them with someone at home – you choose. You could have a look around your kitchen if you are stuck!
After you have come up with a different food for each letter, can you say whether you should eat A LOT of each food you have come up with or eat a SMALL AMOUNT of that food each day?Β
Extra Challenge:
Can you challenge yourself to taste a new food you haven’t tasted before? Are you brave enough to taste a new fruit or vegetable? GOOD LUCKππ½ !! Let me know how you get on.Β
Fun Finisher:
Try and create your very own healthy, balanced lunch or dinner. What will you put in your lunch box or on your plate?
Maybe you could ask if you can help to prepare lunch or dinner for your family?
