Try and make up some words with your sound cards e.g:

Maths

We have been learning to add on. Can you challenge the children to these sums? Using objects to count at home will really help them.

Homework and Reminders week beg 10/12/18


School Nativity Costume

Primary 1’s will be given a headband and a t-shirt to wear for their costume in the Nativity this Friday.

Please can children wear black trousers or leggings to school on Friday to complete their costume.  School trousers will be absolutely fine.

Christmas Lunch and Christmas Jumper Day

On Wednesday it is the school Christmas Lunch and Christmas Jumper Day.

As a donation for wearing something Christmassy we ask, that if possible, children could donate a tin of food/non-perishable food for the food bank.

Homework 11.12.18

  • Continue to complete the activities on your ‘Festive Homework Sheet.’

The jumpers that have been coming in are very colourful and Christmassy so far.

Reading

Please try and read your reading book each night.

Encourage your child to:

  •  Point to each word as they read it
  • Sound out the words they are unsure of
  • Talk about the pictures in the book
  • Talk about the punctuation
  • Practise their common words – this that then from

What a busy day!

We created snowy pictures this morning for our writing programme and then we went to explore the Christmas Learning Zone.

This afternoon we worked on The Story of 3 and then we played some of our new maths games.
