Not long now….

Our dojo winner this week was Louie with a close runner up Lexi. Well done!

Our capacity winner was Lucy. Well done.

Not very many sleeps until Santa comes and primary seven are still working hard!

We enjoyed the excitement of the first British astronaut being sent to the International Space Station and managed to see some of the launch. We then created fact files on this incredible man. Hopefully this will inspire our budding scientists!

We wrote Space Adventures focussing on paragraphs, connectives and details with exciting results!

We have moved on to long multiplication and continue to work hard.

I will take the opportunity to wish all the children in the class and their families a very happy Christmas! : )

Christmas Show

Another busy week has come to and end. Primary 7 can hold their heads up high knowing that they put on an outstanding performance this week as part of the school show- and particularly this afternoon for the rest of the children. Well done! I am so proud of you all : )

Our data handling topic has come to an end and we begin revision of our multiplication tables. Remember the best way to learn is to have fun! There are lots of fun tables games on line to keep you on your toes! (try Topmarks)

We are well underway with our Mars explorer designs and working well in groups.

Watching News Round every day is proving to be a great success. Note taking and summary skills are developing as well as a good general knowledge of current affairs.

REMEMBER!!!!! It is our Christmas party on Monday afternoon so bring your party clothes : )

Have a great weekend!

Growth Mindset

Another busy week in Primary 7b!

This weeks dojo winner was Justin, well done!

Our ‘Its Good To Be Me’ winner was Holly. Fantastic!

We have been working hard on making purposeful comments at peer and self assessment time as well as working on our growth mindsets. Never give up!! The children have been given their own learning wall. It is an opportunity for them to express their own thoughts and feelings about their learning and to show off what they have been learning outside of school. Feel free to bring in photos, tickets, leaflets or postcards of where you have been!

Our data handling topic is coming to an end and times tables will be next on the agenda!

Looking forward to seeing you all at the school show : )
