During Maths Week Scotland, Primary 7 continued to work hard on increasing their mental agility skills and sharing their different strategies with one another when solving calculations.
Primary 7 were lucky enough to have a visit from Monica and Gillian from Barnardos today where they learned how the brain develops and works emotionally. She taught the children about the five simple things that feed a healthy brain. The children learned skills to use when working with their Primary 1 Buddies.
Primary 6 learned all about the Five to Thrive Strategies and how they can use them to understand their own behaviour and the behaviour of others in order to help them with their worries or problems.

Primary 3 have been enjoying some Active Maths activities this week.
Primary 2 have been playing Active Maths games to help with learning their Numbers to 20.
Primary 4 used the i-Pads to reinforce their mathematical knowledge.
The children in the nursery used the SHANARRI puppet to learn about listening to others.
Primary 3/2 are always very busy during Literacy time working on a range of differentiated activities.
They also used ‘real life’ maths when they made apple crumble using the apples from the school orchard. They used their knowledge of measure, time, multiplication, division and estimation.
Primary 2 have been using their Number Talks strategies to recognise sets of numbers.
