Primary 5 have been busy designing, creating and making Jacobite weapons using a variety of junk materials. They planned their designs, labelling them with the resources we would need, then used the materials they gathered to make them.

This afternoon, we further developed our skills in music with Mrs MacGregor, our Kodaly teacher. Today we were learning how to read musical notes.
World Book Day

MSP Visit
Today, Primaries 5-7 had a visit from the local MSP for our area. He told us all about life as a member of the Scottish parliament.
24 Hour Time
Primary 5 have been learning to covert 12 hour time to 24 hour time.
MTV – Tug of War
Primary 5 looked deeper into the conflicting decision the Jacobites would have had to have made when being told to swear an oath to King William or face punishment. Lots of brilliant, in-depth discussion on this very difficult choice, where they tried to see both sides.
Times Table Race
Primary 5 practise their tables by having a competition to see who is the fastest at calculating the correct multiples of the given factor.
Massacre of Glencoe
Working collaboratively, Primary 5 read and selected main points on the Massacre of Glencoe. They learned that this was a very important turning point in Jacobite history. #effectivecontributors #successfullearners
