We have been exploring a variety of Articles within the UNCRC. We used a variety of relevant Articles to compile our Class Charter. We understand that these are universal entitlements for all children and can identify our own responsibility to make sure our classmates enjoy these rights.

Making Thinking Visible
We have been using a variety of Making Thinking
Visible strategies to explore the characters, main events and key themes within our novel “Wonder”. We especially enjoy debating some of these through a “tug of war”, where listening to the views of our classmates can often influence us to change our minds!

Rocks and Minerals
Primary 5 have been exploring different rocks and minerals that can be found on Planet Earth.
Creating Crystals
Primary 5 carried out an experiment to create crystals as part of their science topic exploring Planet Earth.
Fantastic Fundraiser
This wonderful girl made bracelets during the summer holidays to raise money for St Andrews Hospice. A representative from the hospice came out to the school to recognise her wonderful fundraising efforts.
Rights Respecting School
As as Rights Respecting School, we have been exploring Articles 2, 3, 6 and 12. We are displaying our knowledge of what these rights mean to us in our school hall. As a whole school, we have carried out a variety of activities to deepen our understanding of what these articles are.
