Tonight our children shone like stars for this evening’s performance of the ‘Lion King’. What wonderfully talented pupils we have at St. Michael’s. We are bursting with pride and we are looking forward for another great night tomorrow!
Tickets have been given out this week. Each child from Primary 4 – 7 has been given three tickets for either Wednesday or Thursday night’s performance. Extra tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis from Friday.
Well done to Dylan O’Hara for designing this fantastic illustration for the front cover of the programme!
Today the backdrops and scenery started to go up in the hall. More pictures to follow of our Expressive Arts day creating some of this wonderful scenery.
This morning we went to the beach then we had a guided tour at Space Expo!
We look forward to seeing you all when we get home!
Primary 2 have been learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly. They have been experiencing this first hand in the classroom watching their caterpillars turn into cocoons, then into a chrysalis, finally turning into beautiful butterflies!
They took the butterflies down to the forest to release them.
PC Kenny came to the school to talk to the children about the importance of staying safe on the internet, using online games and social media apps.
He showed them some some age appropriate videos from the website https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk, which is a resource which can be used to highlight the importance of staying safe online, exploring what’s good, what’s not and what they can do about it if they feel uncomfortable or worried about something that is happening online.
Primary 7 have a full day ahead. They are going to visit the windmills and are going to see the sights in Amsterdam. There may even be enough time to stop off for a quick lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe!
Primary 7 had a fantastic day! One or two children may be coming home with a new friend!
After a busy day at the theme park, they still had lots of energy tonight down at the beach! I’m sure it’ll be lights out early tonight!
