Can you help?

balance-bike

Our Nursery are looking to use balance bikes as part of their outdoor play activities.  A balance bike is a bike without pedals, gears, or a chain. Your kids push themselves along with their feet, learning balance and gaining confidence. When they’ve learned how to balance, they can go straight on to a bike without stabilisers. All that’s left is learning to pedal!

We would be grateful of any donations of balance bikes which are no longer being used in your homes or can be passed onto younger siblings.  Please contact the Nursery if you have a bike you no longer use and wish to donate.

Over the past few years, some of the chargers for our iPads have broken or gone missing. We have iPad 2’s in school which use the old style charger (Apple 30 pin cable).  We would very much appreciate any donations of spare iPhone/iPad chargers which meet this description, either the cable itself or the cable with the power adaptor.  If you have any which you could donate, please send them into school for the attention of Miss Wilson.

Many thanks

Reading Book Amnesty

Reading

We are currently having a reading book amnesty and would encourage all children and their parents to have a look in the house for any reading books which have not been returned to school.  We have many sets of titles which we do not have a full set  of books to use with the groups we have in class.

We would be delighted for any books to be returned to school.

Many thanks,

Mrs Greechan

Junior Road Safety Day

On the 6th of September, our Road Safety Officers from Primary 7  went to a Junior Road Safety event in the Moodiesburn Pivot Centre.  Lots of road safety officers from other schools were there and we learned lots of tips on how to stay safe around lorries.

This Thursday, we are going to do an assembly on what road safety is and how to stay safe around roads and near cars.

Thank you from the JRSO Team
